Laney - 20 Months

More talking, more frustratons.

We also have several more teeth. Molars came in and you did not like it that much. Was a disruption to your sleep schedule which in turn is a disruption in mom's sleep schedule.

We are now on our own in the morning since Kay is now in school. It has been interesting. You really are coming into your own by not being with your sister. The ride is also much more quiet. You just sit and watch your movie, calmly waiting until we arrive at the location.

I can tell you are on the verge of long sentences. It is fun and yet sad for me as I want to keep you as my baby but I'm excited to see what you think about the world.

Money Money Money

The girls have their piggy bank that Dad lets them put the change from his car in. They are quite heavy but Miss Bertha - LB can carry hers just fine. That girl is going to be a weight lifter.

I didn't get pictures the first day but I wanted to the second day. She will normally stay at school but this first week I'm picking her up. Seriously the schools should be commended for getting all the kids in the right place after school. It is a well oiled machine.

The car riders wait for their parent to pull up and then the aid brings them to the car.

First Day of Pre-K

So, she is going to real school.  She has been in daycare since she was 8 weeks old so it isn't too scary for her to go but there is something different about a real school.  She is so excited.  She wants to ride the bus.  Wants to meet her teacher, wants to learn.  Sometimes it seems like she is so grown and other times I see that baby I brought home from the hospital and I just want to put her in bubble wrap. Either way, I know this is just the beginning of several big days in her life.  I'm still so amazed that God gave her to us to raise. 















She is convinced her shoes make her much faster.

New Magic Shoes

So, I got Kay new shoes for school and she is SURE that they make her faster, stronger and are truly magic. So, I'm taking her picture when she gets home and she says 'Wait Mom, get my shoes.'



Then she turns into Jack Lalanne and says 'Ok Mom, watch this, get me like this.'


I don't even know where she thought this up.

Mela Mela aka Watermelon

Even though it was 875 degrees outside today everyone went out on the patio for some Mela Mela which is what LB calls Watermelon.





Kay was telling us some serious story here.

MCDC - Saying good bye again.

Monday Kay starts Pre-K so today was her last day at MCDC. The saddest part of today was that it was also Miss Kay's last day. Her husband got a wonderful job out of state so they are moving. I cried so much when I dropped her off. Not because Kaylen is leaving but because I'm going to miss Kay so much. She is amazing with the girls. She loves all of those kids sooooo much and is so patient with them. The girls feel that and feel so secure just knowing she is there. Of course everyone at the daycare is amazing but Miss Kay is special. She has been with us since Kay was 8 weeks old. Anyway... off to the pictures.

This is Kay's best friend. I hope she finds another little girl that she loves as much as Brooklyn.

And this one - this is her boyfriend, Cody. She asked me the other day if Cody could be her Prince Charming. I told her she would need to ask her Dad. You could imagine how that conversation went. I should have recorded it.

Trip to Gaga's

B had physicals today so we went over to Gaga's house for a visit. Karie and the girls were there so we had a great time.

Mackenzie is learning how to drive which totally scares the crap out of me because I still think she is three years old so there is no way she should be driving a car. Reminds me how fast it all goes.

Lots of Birthday Parties

This month we have lots of birthday parties to attend and the girls couldn't be happer.

First up was Hudson's. They girls had a great time at this place last year and it was no different this year. Kay was much more adventurous and LB was actually able to play on stuff this time.
