Recital - Tragedy

My photography friend Carrie got a present from her huband. A Canon 5D. AHHHH. So wonderful. She brought it to work so I could touch it. Well, my camera must have seen me holding it and got jealous because it died on recital night. I had to use a point and shoot that wasn't charged very much. Needless to say I didn't get many pictures.

That is all I got. I will say that she did so well. I thought she would be scared but she wasn't. I can't wait to get the video.

16 Months

Man these are coming too close together.

My baby is a full on toddler now.

- 6 teeth (still)
- 2T clothing - we bit the bullet some of the 18-24 months were showing off the belly.
- Loves her teacher Miss Annette.
- Loves to read books, play with dolls and EAT.
- Says Mama, Dada, Go, No, Dog, Oh WOW, Cheese (when she sees mom's camera), puppy, cow (sometimes when she see's mom..not sure what that is about, maybe need to go to the gym more.
- Still rockin' the blond afro.
- Wearing size 5 shoe (wide), sometimes, when I can find some that allow for the overflow on top.

She's also FAST!!!

Sprinkler Time

We busted out the sprinkler today and the tiny bikini. Oh my, I think we are going to have to move up a size for Bug.

She had more fun at the leaky part of the faucet.

Here are her routines. I'm not sure how this will work as it is my first time posting a video. This is from the dress rehersal.

Spring

I'm not one of those exercise people yet and I hate to say it but since I have been working out I do have more energy and really want to be outside with the girls. I got a bubble machine and took it outside for them to play with. It was LB's first time with bubbles.

Picture Day

So, I'm not much of a make-up and hair type girl. I'm a wash and go type person. I didn't grow up in dance or anything so I have no experience with it at all. I always thought I'd have boys. So, last week Kay got her costumes and instructions for picture day and Recital night. Picture day was to be 'light' makeup. Recital night - HEAVY make-up. I cringe at that because I think of that pagent show with the crazy mamas.

Here we are picture night. I planned on taking off early but that never happens. Someone always walks in right as I'm shutting down my computer. So, I'm totally rushed getting home and we have to go right to the dance place. B was supposed to watch LB but forgot they were having a tip-in club meeting so I had to take her to Grandma's house. This adds more time to my already tight schedule. But.... in typical SuperMom fashion I did it. I think she looked pretty good. This is our photoshoot at home with the 'light' make up.

So, we get to the studio and I realize my definition of 'Light' and some other's definition of 'light' are totally different. I think there were some calking guns in some people's purses.

This is Serenity. Sometimes Kaylen makes her pick her up. Kaylen kicks her leg up like a lady getting kissed in an old movie. It totally cracks me up.


She LURVES dance.


This is her tap outfit. They dance to Bussel & Peck. I didn't get a good picture of it. It was quite rushed.

Funder

I was taking K to dance last night, we were picking up recital costumes, anyway she is looking around and says "Momma, I don't rike those crowds." She uses 'r' instead of 'l' s when talking. It is funny because she calles LB - Rainey. Ok, back to the story.... I said "Clouds? You don't like the clouds?" She said "Yes, I don't rike them, there is funder in there."

I can't wait for the recital! As I stated in the last post we got her costumes tonight. She LOVES them. It is going to be hard keeping her out of them for a week.

Water Gun Fun

We are getting ready for summer which means water guns at our house. I noticed something funny now that LB is old enough to play. She was the only one getting shot. I mean there was an occasional spray here or there between B & K but most of it went on LB.

She spent most of the time drinking from the guns.
