July 25th

Driving in today, the sunrise was so pretty. Laney says from the back of the car 'Oh wow Mom, look at that, it's so beautiful. How did God do that?' I said 'Because he can do anything, little girl. He can make miracles.' She said 'Well, He is a berry good painter. I like the orange color best.'

I'm going to miss these morning talks next month when she is at school.

June 18
I walk by Laney's room and know there is trouble immediately when she shouts out 'NOTHING!!!' without me saying a word. Man, I get payback everyday with that girl.

June 25th
While looking at some photography, we come across some wedding pictures.

Kaylen: Mom, when is Mackenzie going to get married?
Me: NEVER!!!
Kaylen: Not me, MAC-KEN-ZIE.
Me: I know, and the answer is still NEVER!!!! I never want her to get married because she can't because she is just a little girl. The end. I don't want to talk about this anymore. Go play with some Barbies or something.

June 29th

Laney: Mom, why is GaGa your mudder?
Me: because she just is. I was in her belly.
Laney: were you her baby.
Me: Yes, and she said 'Oh, goochie gooo, baby!'
Laney: Did she wiggle you? I love it when she wiggles me.
Me: Yes, she wiggled me.
Laney: Dats the best ever.

Laney: *smack**smack* Ok.
Kaylen: Did you swallow it?
Laney: *Gulp* Yes.
Kaylen: Ugh! You are supposed to chew it.
Laney: Ok, let's try again. *smack**smack**gulp* yep, I still dust swallowed it.

April 1

Laney is working on her inheritance already.

Laney: Mom, you look berry beautiful cooking the chicken.
Me: Thank you!

April 25
Laney: I sink I ate too much food. It is all dust bumping into each other in my belly. Ugh! I don't sink I need anymore begtables.

My Prince

Laney found the heels I wore to a wedding Saturday. She said 'Momma, did you wear deese at the castle when Daddy found you in your dress and he was your prince?'

My marriage is far from perfect but to my kids it will always be a fairy tale. Glad I have them to remind me of this. Also helps when the husband spends the day doing laundry and cleaning while I was at work.

Prince? I'd say so!!!

Everyday!!!

Laney leaves the bathroom and comes over to me:

Laney: Mom, do I have to wipe?
Me: YES!!!
Laney: Awe man, every time! (as she walks back to the bathroom)

She's going to have a long hard life if this frustrates her.

Pom Clinic

We tried the Pom clinic again this year.  Kay said she would actually do the dance this time and not spend the whole time being held by the Pom girls.  We went and she did do a much better job and performed very well at the basketball game. 

Trip to the Dentist - Both girls

This was Bug's first trip to the dentist.  She was great.  She loved going and wanted to stay.

Kaylen, last night at Homecoming.

Kaylen: Momma, my shoes are hurting my feet now.
Me: Well, I'm sorry but that is just part of being a girl. The prettiest shoes always hurt your feet.
Kaylen: I don't like being a girl!

20 minutes later....
Kaylen: Can I wear my shoes to school Monday?
Me: I thought they hurt?
Kay: Well, that's OK. It is just a little bit.

Ahhhh, she is one of us now! Beauty>pain.

Homecoming 2013

This year, both girls were invited to be in the homecoming ceremony. I was VERY nervous about our LB. I've said it 100 times before. She is a bit wild and crazy. But she ended up doing an amazing job and she LOVED seeing the 'princesses'. She wanted her picture taken with all of them.

Some of the craziness the kids have said this month.

January 4th
Listening to Bryan's game on the Internet, Laney comes to me and says 'Mom, we are going to go to bed and then Daddy is going to come home from the boys and wake me up and I can dust hug him so much.'

This is the first year she has really noticed him being gone so much during the season. She loves her Daddy.

January 26th

Laney: Member when I was a baby and I came out of your froat and den I was crying and den you was rockin' me in da chair and den you dust hit my head.
Me: I didn't hit your head!
Laney: well, den you were a princess and you had some flowers (my wedding picture) and you had really big boobies because they dust already growed up but my boobies are not growed up. Will you smell my feet?
Me: No! That is gross.
Laney: well, I think they stink.
Me: go play somewhere else you are weird.

January 28th
More Laney goodness...

She is in my lap and hits my stomach.
'Mom, your belly is too big. I sink someone is in zhere.'

I'll be eating my feelings the rest of the night if you need me.




January 30th

She has lived in the same house all of her life.

Tumbling

Took my camera to tumbling today.

Bugs does a great job when she is doing the activity.  She isn't very good at waiting her turn and I spend much of the 30 minutes looking just like my mother.  Eyes very large, snapping, giving a very stern look and mouthing 'Sit down!' while not moving my lips much.  If your a mother - you know what I'm talking about.

Homework

I'm amazed daily by the things Kay is learning at school.  She loves it and LOVES doing homework.  It has to be so awesome to be a teacher and get to watch all those kids figure life out daily.




A car actually did run into a house in our neighborhood and....we go to McDonalds way too much during basketball season.

4 Years Old

Baby girl is 4.  She has been waiting months for her party at Chuck E. Cheese.

Weight - 38 lbs
Wears size 5T clothing and size 9/10 in shoes.

Same as her 6 1/2 year old sister!!

She loves dancing, singing, performing on our stage/fireplace.  She loves everything pink, purple, princess related.  She isn't shy at all.  Talks all the time about everything and is generally crazy.  She is laid back, funny, LOVES her sister.  I crack up at her daily and I'm scared to death that she is growing up too fast. 









She thought he wasn't coming to give her a crown. Our table was last.
