Day 3 - Animal Kingdom

Today was Animal Kingdom and swimming at the Hotel pool. When I finished we went back to Animal Kingdom. It closes early though so we didn't spend alot of time. I think was saw the best it had to offer though as we got to go on the safari with no waiting. Very neat. The animals are in the open. Well, I didn't like the fact that the lion was in the open so close to us but I guess he is used to people by now.

Afterwards we went to dinner at our hotel and they had Pluto and Goofy there for you to meet. K LOVED it.

Florida: Day 2 Magic Kingdom

Day 2 was the first day of my conference so B took K to the Magic Kingdom and then I met up with them after 5:00 and we went back there.

He said she did very well riding rides and keeping up with all there was to do. Like I said, she is generally scared of everything so we were worried she wouldn't ride many rides. B didn't take pictures as it is pretty hard to do when it is just you and the kid.

These are pics I took when we went that night.

Outside Minnie's house.

They have the best parade at like 6:45. It is the Move it and Shake it parade. There are lots of characters and the kids can even dance with them.

We went to 'It's a Small World', watched the fireworks. It was wonderful. She loved it. She was also asleep in about 3 minutes and didn't move until about 9:00 a.m.

- wears 18-24 month but really should be in 2T
- Doing very good at her new school. They all love her.
- Says Mama, Dada, Go, No, Dog, Oh WOW
- Hair leans toward the blond side and may be more curly than her sisters.

Florida: Day 1

The day we arrived I did not have anything to do for my conference. It was just a travel day.

It is a family custom to take a walk around the hotel before we venture out into the town around us.

K kept saying that we were staying in the jungle.

Our hotel was right next to the disney boardwalk. It was a very nice place to walk around.

We then went to Downtown Disney. It was a LONG ride on the shuttle bus but we had made a reservation at the TREX restaurant so we got right in when we arrived.
IMG_0991

It is owned by the same company that runs the Rainforrest Cafe's. It is basically the same but with Dinosaurs instead of the other animals. K got VERY nervous when it would get dark and all the Dinos would growl but I think she enjoyed it.

IMG_0992

She wanted no part of getting close to the Dinos though.

They also have a 'Build-a-Dino' inside. It is also just like Build-a-bear except with a Dino.

I told B that she may be one of the only kids to come to Disney World and leave with a Dinosaur instead of a Mickey Mouse.

Funny Airplane story

I am typing this up seperate as it deserves it's own post. So, we are sitting on the runway, waiting to leave. Everyone is getting settled and K says 'Awe, look at that baby up there.' I was still getting settled so I humored her and said 'Yes, that is a cute baby.' K: That baby is crazy sitting up there. Me: Yes, that crazy baby. I'm now settled and looking around for this crazy baby. Again she says 'That baby is funny sitting up there so tall.' Bryan is now helping me look for this baby that has captured her attention. It is then that I notice the man sitting in the seat in front of her is totally bald. She can only see the top of his head and just assumed it was a baby. I couldn't breath I started laughing so hard.

We're on our way...

So I got the opportunity to go to a security conferece for work. Doesn't that sound exciting? Wouldn't you jump at a chance to learn about Computer Security. Ok,I'm a geek. What really sold me was when they said it would be held in Orlando, FL at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. I'M IN!!! You can't say I don't sacrifice myself for my job. Yes, I am almost a saint.

So, B and I worked it out where he could go with me and bring Kaylen. This as her first plane trip. I loaded up my ITouch with movies for her and she was very excited to go on the plane. I was nervous about how she would handle it because she gets scared very easily.

So, she was great getting on the plane. Great sitting on the runway but when it took off and you hit that spot where it drops and gets your stomach, she lost it. Actually she started screaming what we all think 'We are falling! We are falling!' After we got in the air and settled out everything was fine and she enjoyed her movie.

Crazy life

We are about to go out of town for my work. Have lots of packing to do and then at dance they tell us that the class has been invited to dance at the Fair grounds. Mom and Kacy came to watch along with The Merritts although it was a madhouse and I never even saw them.

I also barely saw the performance. It lasted about 30 seconds and then we were done.

Drunk or just a toddler

LB is walking WAYYY earlier than K did. Actually, at the same age, K still was not walking. That isn't to say that LB is steady on her feet. She is wobbly sometimes. I dont' know if that is due to her protruding belly. I love it so much but it does get in her way sometimes.

Anyway, Grandma M got K a tent for Christmas a couple years ago I think. Anyway, I just got the energy to put it up and the girls had so much fun. However, LB kept wobbling over inside the tent and since it wasn't staked to the ground the whole thing would move. This was quite upsetting to her sister who must have order at all times.

She finally decided to zip it up so LB could not get inside. ***Notice the tub of dinosaurs. They are always present.
