January 2011 - Not Kay's best month

I'm writing all these posts in March so I'm going to put all of Kay's injury pics and such together. December/Jan/Feb were not good months for Miss Kay. It started the week of Christmas. Her and LB both have weird toe nails. I don't know how to decribe them other than they are almost concaved and she rarely lets me at them without a fight. Well, she got in there one day and picked at her nail and ripped a piece of it off. After a few days she began complaining about her toe hurting and I put a bandaid on it. Well, it got infected down in there and after a few days it ended up VERY bad.

This was about week two.


Week 3


We went to the Dr. and he said even if it looks bad it was actually healing fine. She spent about a month and a half only wearing house shoes to school. You can see them in this picture of my styling chick at one of the games.


About the time the toe was on the mend - she started complaining about her lip hurting. She had some red spots but she gets chapped lips alot and I assumed this was it. I assumed wrong. It was Cold sores and they attacked with a vengence.








Laney also had some ear infections so we spent alot of time playing at the Dr's office.


So, this brings us to the end of January. LIfe is going well, things are looking good. Or so we thought... more to come in February.
