July is always a fun month around our house. It is the only 3 weeks out of the year that B has free to do home improvement projects. He decided it would be 'fun' to replace the tile in the kitchen.

This is where we started. Blah right. Seriously - 1970.




We decided to use the peel and stick tiles from Home Depot. We also wanted to extend the tile out into the informal dining room area. This sounds great on paper. Not so much once you get into it.

I tore out the carpet and started trying to pull up the tile.




Then we got to work peeling & sticking.


This was the end of day 1


Here is the finished product.


We also took this time to get a new fridge and we need to get the transition piece from the carpet to the tile but I think it is a vast improvement.
