Family fun at the zoo

One of the perks of being a Federal Employee is that we get 4 hours of leave for donating blood. The blood drive was on Friday so I took off half a day and Bry came up and we took K to the zoo. We haven't been in a long time and they have tons of new things. It is really very nice.

Our first stop were some birds. You buy nectar for a couple dollars and the birds come right up to you. Well, you have to watch out because they totally attack you for the nectar and they are drinking it all day so... lets just say they have accidents often so you must beware.

K didn't like them at first because they came and sat on her stroller.

Then she got used to them.

They have also installed misters through out the park. These were the best. She loved going in them with her dad.

My favorite was the gorillas. We were even charged by the silverback. It was cool. He was huge.

And who can't love a baby rhino.

We got home and noticed that K's right eye was red. So... after much discussion and a call to the Dr. we figure out she has Pink Eye.

If it isn't better by tomorrow she may have to go to an eye Dr. We'll see.

Last but not least, I've told you before that we have progress in the walking department. I finally got video proof. Here she is in all her glory. Walking her few steps.

and... this is her dancing and watching American Idol... it is an old video.

Look at her go! I love the video of her walking!

We can feed the birds at our zoo too and you're right, look out 'cause they want that nectar!

Cute videos!!! I love seeing her walk to you!

That's so cool about the birds. I've never had any fly up to me like that at the zoo!
